Thank you for supporting our church and its ministries!

Keeping the doors open, paying the staff, maintaining the buildings and grounds, supporting programs for youth, children and adults, meeting needs within and beyond the church and working on issues of justice, peace, and humanitarianism—all these elements enable us to be a church and they are supported by your pledges and offerings to the church.  In addition to these needs, the church supports regional and national United Church of Christ (UCC) endeavors through Our Church’s Wider Mission (OCWM).

Our Church is a non-profit 501 (C) (3) tax-exempt organization, meaning gifts to our Church are tax deductible. If you attend a weekend service, your pledges and offerings can also be dropped in the baskets near the doors.

"As for those who in the present age are rich, command them not to be haughty, or to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but rather on God who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, generous, and ready to share, thus storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of the life that really is life."   (1 Timothy 6:17-19)

In the future, we'll be setting up online giving. If you'd like to give now, please send a check to:

Church of the Savior
934 N. Weisgarber Road
Knoxville, TN 37909

We also regulary host events to help fundraise for our church and its outreach efforts. Please check our events page for upcoming events. On September 28, we will be hosting “Practicing Mindfulness,” a workshop with physician, renowned therapist and UT Vols athletic department consultant, Dr. Clifton Tennison. Please see this page for more information.

Other ways to give

While your financial support is much appreciated, there are other ways you can give to the church. We understand that everyone may not be able to give as much as they would like and we understand. If you are still looking for ways to serve we have provided a list of some options that you may be interested in. Anything you could do would be greatly appreciated. Thank you again for your continued support!

Second Mile Gifts

"And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go also the second mile. Give to anyone who begs from you, and do not refuse anyone who wants to borrow from you."  (Matthew 5:41-42)

In addition to supporting Church of the Savior and its many ministries, our congregation donates to various “2nd Mile” causes throughout the year. We can go the 2nd Mile and support many of the progressive causes that reflect our mission. Last year our congregation donated over $35,000 to our Second Mile Ministries.
